Background
H&M Home’s first industrial design concept store opened at Biblioteksgatan 11 in Stockholm in 2018. It was a huge success. Now it was the City of Örebro’s turn, with the second Swedish shop set to open.
Assignment
Build an attractive shop with a pleasant atmosphere and an industrial feel.
Challenges
Finding suppliers of special solutions for details and various materials that were requested.
Solution
Persistent searching by fantastically skilled suppliers both locally and in the rest of Sweden.
Result
A very attractive and pleasant two-storey shop with many unique industrial design details. Entrance portals built on site from cut plywood and a gorgeous stairway in the heart of the shop. On top of that, an attractive custom orangerie in glass and black lacquered steel built by a local metalsmith for sales of plants. The shop received top marks from H&M, whose evaluation included the verdict: “This is the best-looking shop I’ve ever seen.”
